Today in Federal Court we heard the latest in the list of excuses/reasons of why Kathy Jackson refuses to answer for her own actions while expecting the rest of the world praise her as some sort of heroine.
There are not a lot of things that Kathy Jackson has not failed at it would seem.
She has failed at showing any sense of decorum, happy to splash her sex life all over the media.
She has failed as a hopeful Labor candidate, losing in a pre-selection, then taking the Party to court and losing yet again
She has failed as a self-proclaimed whistleblower, with evidence now seeming to show it was all to divert attention away from her own crimes.
She has failed as a union official, preferring to score herself a $250K personal bank account rather than see cancer researchers receive their legal entitlements. Some would argue this also makes her a failure as a human.
Some would also allege that she has failed as a criminal also, leaving behind evidence of approximately $1.4 Million of misappropriated union members funds.
Jackson has also failed when it comes to showing any integrity, insisting others face up to consequences for their actions while avoiding questioning at the Royal Commission and delaying Federal Court proceedings 18 times now.
Today Philip Beazley, the latest in a long string of legal representatives that have also included Fair Work Commissions taxpayer-funded Vice President Michael Lawler in a most comical episode, told the court how Jackson has also failed at suicide in the past.
Jackson failed to front Federal Court yet again today as she is currently in hospital for psychological treatment.

I do not like to make light of mental illness but this all seems frighteningly convenient and there isn’t a lot of people buying the Kathy Jackson version of the truth any more.
Mr Beazley claimed that Jackson was not in a fit condition to provide him with legal direction. However Beazley managed to have enough direction to produce an affidavit of wild claims of death threats and an unlikely suicide attempt. Justice Tracey suppressed much of the affidavit from publication.
I’m sure that every person who is awaiting to go before court to have their name publicly smeared and reputation shattered due to overwhelming evidence that is likely to send you bankrupt and see you jailed suffers from a little stress. However Jackson appears to be setting new standards in stretching the patience of the Federal Court.
Acting for the HSU National Office, Mark Irving rightly complained that it was
“quite extraordinary and unacceptable behaviour”
to have had a doctor’s certificate for two weeks prior to dumping it on the court at the last-minute.
It would seem hard to fault Mr Irving’s logic, after all Jacksons behaviour does seem to display a lack of consideration for others time and a complete lack of respect for the court and legal procedure.
Justice Tracey referred to Jacksons failures as “inexcusable”.
The court is now seeking affidavits from Kathy Jacksons doctors before the matter is before the court once again for another shot on the 5th November.
Yet again the woman who Tony Abbott described as brave and courageous has shown herself to be one of the most gutless people the country has seen.
Todays Jacksonville excuses and no-show were greeted by most with a complete lack of surprise, most had seen the mental illness defence coming years ago.
Let’s just hope in the near future Kathy doesn’t fail when it comes to finding a pair of orange overalls that fit.

All along I’ve feared she will get away with this because she still has contacts (if not friends) in all the places that count. The more this drags out, the more it looks as though she’ll be home free before too long. Craig Thomson must be gnashing his teeth.
Agree, LLL. I’ve said all along that she’ll get away with it. Nothing so far convinces me otherwise. Wixxy, I really appreciate all your reporting and am amazed at how impartial you have remained. Thiswoman represents all that I corrupt and vile in our hierarchical capitalist system. I hope she gets her full comeuppance, but I have no faith in the politacal or judicial system any more.
Psychosis can be an excuse for inability to attend court or be involved in proceedings. Psychoses, whether drug induced or related to depression can be treated, however. There is no evidence she suffers from a psychosis such as Schizophrenia which could indefinitely stay proceedings, albeit seeing her incarcerated in an institution indefinitely. Personality disorders aren’t an excuse for facing the music. I have no doubt Kathy Jackson is facing incredible anxiety and depression in the face of overwhelming evidence of wrongdoing, and the likely legal outcomes. Anxiety and depression can be treated.
But the bottom line is the process will continue, and Kathy Jackson is yet to file a logical defence to the allegations made by the HSU.
I would be surprised if charges don’t soon follow, regardless of the civil case. There is no reason in law that I know of why they shouldn’t be pressed.
I am thinking of the stress and depression visited on others by Jackson’s behaviour. Where is justice for them?
I’m with Puffy, Jackson didn’t care too much about the abuses she helped to heap on Craig Thomson to cover up her own level of thieving.

Exactly Marilyn. You don’t see sat news vehicles parked out front of her house, you don’t see the media allegedly looking in the bathroom windows, You don’t see if being the first and only story day in, day out, Coppers turning up from other states with the media sitting and waiting, you don’t see Craig waiting outside the commission or court spruiking all that is righteous, You don’t see story after story day in day out about the links to the government and personal friendships being reported in the papers, don’t see headlines ‘We don’t believe you’ with a giant Pinocchio nose drawn on her face.
Can you imaging if this was Craig and his family, Gillard ( I know you don’t like her, but that’s not the point), Shorten, Plibersek, rather than Kath and one of a certain persons family friend and mate?
Florence, they need to look at FWA and how they acted in all of this and I mean everyone at FWA. The public have a right to know. They reported on the HSU and Thomson, unfortunately I believe it stopped there when it should of investigated (I believe) properly.

I’ve always felt that she turned whistleblower not only to divert attention away from her own crimes, but also to ingratiate herself to the Tories in the hope they would provide protection and immunity when the time came if she managed to get rid of Thomson for them.
Now she is finding out – like James Ashby – that they wil use her up and throw her away when she is of no further use.
I hope she turns on them and drags them into the light as the case proceeds.
All these comments are absolutely right – and very pertinent. Craig Thomson is not on stress leave with a massive salary, or on unemployment benefits. He has also had a multitude of ignorant abusive commentary and been mocked by every superficial comedian and commentator in the mainstream media. Kathy Jackson is apparently being protected by very powerful people. The cost of justice in Australia is a demonstration of how far we fall short of being democratic, particularly under the present regime.

If Kathy Jackson doesn’t fail this time and convinces the judge that her unfettered crime spree over half a decade or more, was conducted because she was completely nuts and not responsible for her criminal actions, where does that leave the media, the Liberal party, all of the silks and other high profile lawyers and indeed the judges who not only aided and abetted her, but have allowed her such carte blanche lenience throughout this, that has enabled her , to control her own fate?
Do they all plead insanity as well?

Jackson is a liar, a thief and an embezzler. Her bank accounts should be quarantined and her spurious claims to be mentally ill exposed for what they are-the cynical attempt to thwart justice by a criminal with connections to the Liars Party which in turn is doing all it can to ensure she escapes justice and a well deserved gaol term.
When are we going to be told of the cost chasing Craig for $5,000 & how much for Jackson’s 100’s of thousand. Fairwork spent $ 4 million. NSW police investigator was chosen later by Abbott to stand as candidate for the federal lie ball party. The Law has turned into a joke.
