I was wondering last night what the lowest of the low is when it comes to crime. Is it murder? Rape? Abduction? Maybe some think drug distribution…

For my money, and it seems to be the most common answer, a paedophile is the lowest of the low. Even in jail, these vermin are considered to be the vilest of scum by other prisoners.

Even worse, is when that paedophile also happens to be a repeat offending Catholic Priest. Despite Tony Abbott saying that the Catholic Church should not be singled out in any enquiry into child sexual abuse, the problem within the Catholic Church, in particular, seems to be in plague proportions.

Earlier this week, after 30 years, that’s right 30 years of ducking and diving and hiding behind the church, Catholic Priest Finian Egan was finally charged with 17 offenses related to the sexual abuse of at least 4 children between 1972 and 1987. There at Ryde Police Station to greet him as he was charged, were two of his victims, glad to see this piece of crap finally being held to account for his deeds.

I don’t feel any sorrow for this poor excuse for a human. I don’t care how old he is now, it is great to see everyone turn their backs on him for what he has done. Filthy paedophiles like this quickly find themselves without a friend in the world. At least that’s what I thought…..

It turns out Father Finian “sick bastard” Egan still has one pal.

You are probably wondering what type of gutter rat would stand by this type of perverted predator. Well, his name is Greg Smith, and lo and behold he is a politician….

But if you think that is bad, wait till you hear his position….

Greg Smith is the NSW Attorney-General. That’s right, the top law keeper in the state.

So fond of the kiddie-fiddler priest is Greg Smith, that he even mentioned him in his maiden speech to parliament.

However, just when I thought that this was a new low for the new Liberal NSW Govt, it got even worse…

Greg Smith has rightly come under attack, after a claim that he stated one of Mr Egan’s alleged victims was “just trying to get $1 million from the church”.

OK, now pick yourself back up off the floor …It would seem that according to the Liberal Party, it is open season on the victims of child sexual abuse. I cannot believe that the public should have to put up with this sort of comment and behaviour from a politician, let alone an Attorney General. It is astounding, unprecedented, and downright disgusting.

What sort of message does it send, when the Attorney General can portray a victim of paedophile as someone who is just after money?

These victims were children, preyed upon (or should that be prayed?) by the sickest of low lifes, disguised as someone who could be trusted. I am sure that as a child they were not thinking of trying to get money from a church. To even think of suggesting that is insulting beyond words.

Well, you can imagine the fury, and wrath that would have come down on Greg Smith from the Premier, Barry O’Farrell… but you would be wrong. It seems this type of behaviour is accepted in the modern day Liberal Party. Barry has done nothing about it… not a goddamn thing.

Please don’t get me wrong, I am not in any way suggesting that Greg Smith should be made to stand down from his position as Attorney General, far from it…

I am suggesting  however, that Mr Smith should be booted out of Parliament altogether, that if the Liberal party has any decency left in them he should have his membership cancelled and be banned from the party, he should be forced to apologise to the victim for portraying them as a gold digger, and he should apologise to the people of NSW for making us all look bad. I would also add that it is a damn shame public flogging is no longer allowed….

In the meantime, we will wait to see what the Liberal Party response is to those who choose to smear and slander those who were sexually assaulted as a child.

Here’s a tip Barry, it’s hard to look tough on crime when the bloke you appointed as Attorney General is buddies with a paedophile, and insults his victims….
